How did you get involved in the Angular community?
I saw room for improvement with Angular accessibility and communicated as such. Brad Green and Naomi Black asked me to join the Angular Material team to diagnose and implement accessibility in the framework, which I did full-time for nearly a year.
What piece of advice do you wish you’d received when you first started working with Angular?
It’s better to address accessibility in the Angular development lifecycle than to try to fix it automagically after the fact.
What new/upcoming Angular feature has you the most excited?
I’m excited to see Material 2 come together! They’re doing a lot of cutting-edge development, especially with automated testing.
What do you do when you are not coding/designing/etc?
Riding my mountain bike or snowboard, depending on the season!
If you could only own one book, what would it be?
Don’t Make Me Think by Steve Krug. It made the biggest impact on my career from a user experience perspective.
